Cookie Policy

This page explains what we store on your device, on this website and in the Mother app. Read it alongside the Privacy Policy.

1. What we mean by cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use localStorage, which works the same way for our purposes: it keeps a value in your browser between visits. Everything below covers both.

2. On this website

Essential

Set always. Without them the site cannot do what you asked.

• mother-cookie-consent-v2 — your cookie choice itself, so we do not ask again on every page. localStorage, kept until you clear it. We also still read an older key, mother-cookie-consent, if your browser has one.

Analytics — only with your consent

These load only after you accept analytics. Until then, no analytics script runs at all.

• Vercel Analytics — page views and page performance.
• PostHog — product analytics: which pages and features get used.

Marketing

The consent panel offers a marketing toggle, and today nothing uses it: we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we share no cookie data with ad networks. If that changes, this page and the consent panel change with it.

3. In the app

Once you sign in at the product itself, sign-in is handled by Clerk, which sets its own session cookies. These are strictly necessary — you cannot stay signed in without them — and they are not covered by the consent panel on this marketing site. See Clerk's privacy policy.

4. Changing your mind

Open the preference panel and change any category. Rejecting analytics stops the scripts loading on your next page view.

You can also:

• Clear mother-cookie-consent-v2 from your browser's localStorage and reload — the banner comes back.
• Use your browser's own cookie controls, usually under Settings → Privacy.

Blocking essential storage means we have to ask for your cookie choice on every visit.

5. Consent records

Your choice is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. [COUNSEL: whether we must keep a server-side record of consent, and for how long, in the jurisdictions we operate in]

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we store changes. If a new category of cookie is introduced we will ask for consent again.
